Welcome to our HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) page, where we introduce you to the innovative solution for achieving youthful and radiant skin.
What is HIFU?
HIFU is a state-of-the-art treatment that harnesses the power of ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production, effectively diminishing fine lines, wrinkles, and various signs of aging.
The HIFU Advantage
Say goodbye to facelifts and invasive procedures. HIFU offers a painless and non-invasive alternative for skin tightening. Targeted cells undergo cellular damage by gently heating the tissue with ultrasound energy, prompting a natural collagen boost. Collagen, the crucial protein responsible for skin structure, produces tighter, firmer skin with reduced wrinkles.
Why Choose HIFU?
Unlike other treatments, HIFU's high-frequency ultrasound beams concentrate solely on the tissue beneath the skin's surface. This focused approach ensures no harm to the upper skin layers or surrounding tissues, providing a safe and comfortable experience.
Is HIFU Right for You?
While HIFU may not suit everyone, it is most effective for individuals over 30 with mild-to-moderate skin laxity. Those with photo-damaged skin or visible sagging may require multiple sessions to achieve optimal results. Individuals with extensive photo-aging, severe skin laxity, or significant neck sagging may find surgical alternatives more suitable.
Important Considerations
It is essential to note that HIFU is not recommended for individuals with infections, open skin lesions in the treatment area, or severe cystic acne.

What does HIFU stand for?
HIFU stands for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound, a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses focused ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production in the skin.
How does HIFU work?
HIFU works by delivering ultrasound energy to targeted layers of tissue beneath the skin's surface. This energy generates heat, stimulating collagen production and resulting in skin tightening and rejuvenation.
What are the benefits of HIFU treatment?
The benefits of HIFU treatment include skin tightening, wrinkle reduction, improved skin texture, and a more youthful appearance. It is a non-invasive procedure with minimal downtime.
Is HIFU painful?
Most patients experience minimal discomfort during HIFU treatment. Some may feel a slight prickling or heat sensation, but it is generally well-tolerated.
How long does a typical HIFU treatment session last?
The duration of a HIFU treatment session can vary depending on the area being treated, but sessions typically last between 30 minutes to an hour.
How many treatments do I need?
Many individuals see noticeable results after just one HIFU treatment. However, optimal results are typically achieved with a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart.
How long do the results of HIFU treatment last?
The results of HIFU treatment can last up to a year or more, depending on individual skin conditions and care. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to sustain results.
What results will I expect to see after my treatment?
Immediately after your treatment, you may notice that your skin is firmer and its texture is lifted. It can take up to 4-6 weeks and even three months for the full effect of the treatment to kick in, and you will see a dramatic improvement in your facial contouring and a visible reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.
We found a good video on YouTube that explains how many HIFU treatments you need to see a result, how long it takes to see the results, and how long the effects last: https://youtu.be/49a-4IaqvFQ.
Are there any side effects of HIFU treatment?
Common side effects of HIFU treatment may include temporary redness, swelling, or tingling sensations. These effects are typically mild and resolve on their own within a few hours to days.
Who is a good candidate for HIFU treatment?
Good candidates for HIFU treatment are individuals over 30 with mild-to-moderate skin laxity who want to tighten and rejuvenate their skin without surgery.
Is HIFU safe for all skin types?
HIFU is generally safe for all skin types. However, individuals with certain medical conditions or skin concerns should consult a healthcare provider before treatment.
How long do I wait before I can have another HIFU treatment?
It would be best to wait 4 to 12 weeks between treatments to allow the HIFU facial rejuvenation and lift to take effect fully.
Can I combine HIFU with injectables (Botox and fillers)?
Yes, you can, but we recommend you speak with our specialist before booking additional treatments with HIFU to follow the correct protocol and waiting periods between treatments.
HIFU Regulations
HIFU has a longstanding history of treating serious medical conditions such as prostate cancer. In recent years, the FDA has granted approval for its use in brow lifts and reducing lines and wrinkles around the neck and décolletage. However, FDA approval for utilizing HIFU for comprehensive facial tightening, lifting, and body contouring is still pending. In the United States, there are currently no specific regulations governing technicians performing HIFU treatments in the cosmetic industry, given its relative novelty. As with many cutting-edge technologies, regulatory frameworks often require time to adapt and align with advancements in the field.
HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) for fat loss treatment and cellulite removal is a non-invasive procedure that uses focused ultrasound energy to target and destroy fat cells and improve the appearance of cellulite. The ultrasound energy penetrates the skin to target specific areas of fat deposits or cellulite, causing thermal damage to the fat cells.
For fat loss treatment, HIFU can disrupt and destroy fat cells in areas such as the abdomen, thighs, flanks, and arms. The body then metabolizes and eliminates the destroyed fat cells over time, leading to reduced fat volume and improved body contouring.
When it comes to cellulite removal, HIFU can help improve the appearance of cellulite by targeting and breaking down the fibrous bands that pull down the skin and create a characteristic dimpled appearance. By stimulating collagen production and improving skin elasticity, HIFU can help smooth out the skin and reduce the visibility of cellulite.
HIFU is considered a safe and effective procedure with minimal downtime for fat loss treatment and cellulite removal. Results may vary depending on individual factors such as the treatment area, the extent of fat deposits or cellulite, and the number of treatment sessions. It is important to consult with a qualified provider or aesthetic specialist to determine if HIFU is the right treatment option for your specific fat loss or cellulite removal goals. The pricing for HIFU treatments depends on the targeted area and the current condition of your skin. We encourage you to schedule a consultation with us for more detailed information.
Overall, while HIFU facial treatment offers non-invasive skin rejuvenation benefits, it is important to consider these potential drawbacks before undergoing the procedure.
PRE HIFU SKIN TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
👉Avoid sun exposure and sunless tanning. Sunburned or tanned skin will not be treated.
👉 All skin irritants must be stopped (glycolic/ salicylic acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinol products such as Retin-A, Tazorac, Triluma, Differin, and Vitamin C serum) on the area being treated three days before treatment.
👉 Let us know if you are taking antibiotics. Certain antibiotics (Tetracycline, Doxycycline) can make a patient photosensitive; therefore, treatment may not be able to be done until two weeks after completion of the antibiotic.
A day before treatment:
👉 Please let us know if you have a history of cold sores/fever blisters before treatment so that antiviral medication can be prescribed. Treatment cannot be done if you have an active cold sore or skin infection and will be rescheduled.
Treatment Day:
👉 You can take over-the-counter pain relievers, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil), a couple of hours before HIFU treatment. You may experience slight discomfort during a HIFU procedure. Some people describe it as tiny electric pulses or a light prickly sensation.
